4.1 Support
Restrictions
4.1.1
Italian Restrictions
Before the conflict occurred General Gandin surrendered most
of the division’s heavy weapons and strategically important high ground to the
Germans in the hope of a peaceful resolution. The 33rd Acqui Division, being
originally fitted out as a mountain division, also has relatively few vehicles.
To represent this the Italians support options are limited
per battle as follows:
- No more than one anti-tank weapon with an Armour Penetration (AP) value of 3 or more
- No more than one vehicle with an Armour value of 4 or more.
- No mortar barrages
The above restrictions do not apply to the Italians core
force, only the support options.
The Italian player can use additional vehicles, calculated
use the CoCulator.
4.1.2 German Restrictions
German player should use the support list from the Chain of
Command Rule book, rather than the Gebirgsjager Support List throughout the
campaign,
Before 17 September 1943 the Germans had a light, token
detachment on the Island. To represent this, the first two battles the Germans
have the same limitations as the Italians.
On 17 September (the third battle) and all days thereafter
the Elite 1st Gerbirgsjager Division was committed to the Cefalonia, with
support of less than a dozen assault guns. Therefore on or after 17 September
the restrictions for the German player are:
- The first vehicle taken for support must be either a Panzerjager 38t ‘Hetzer’, StuG III (any variant), StuH 42, StuG IV, Flakpanzer 38t (either variant) or SdKfz 234/2 Puma
- No Mortar barrages
The above restrictions do not apply to the German core
force, only the support options.
4.2
Reinforcements
4.2.1
Italian Reinforcements
The Italian player has one set of reinforcements which can
be used at any time.
4.2.2
German Reinforcements
