Urban Gaming Board - Part 9

Finishing off the last little pieces of the board now and getting very close to the end!

Firstly I painted the last of the cops/gangsters. These models were a bit harder to paint as I needed to 'make up' the detail on them as they were a bit flat/smooth.

I do like the boss-man in the middle, he turned out rather well.

The two on the left are some cops (agents) and the red one will be a gangster.

I also finished basing the trees for the park - this was pretty boring, but an important thing to do none the less.

With the park and verge trees, I have quite a forest now - should come in handy for the Italian board down the track!

Finally I put some flowers around the statue in the park.

The only remaining elements to finish off are optional things:

painting the servo sign
getting some vehicles
doing the posters on the buildings

I also did a little work on the servo, its not perfect, but I decided to leave it mostly as it is - I can live with it!

With this all completed, the only thing left to do is put some completed photos up - stay tuned for (the Final) Part 10!

Chain of Command - Table Top Game

Hi All, Chain of Command , produced by Too Fat Lardies is one of the many World War Two table top games currently on the market. While it does not have the following of Flames of War or Bolt Action, it is still a very good game. Chain of Command - First after action report (solo game)

I have recently built and bought some Terrain for my Italian board. This was the first occasion I could pull together enough stuff to make a 4ft x 4ft board and play a game. Not everything is perfect – I want to do more work to the field, base the trees, build hills and rocky outcrops, drybrush the roads, build/buy new walls and paint more miniatures. But I finally got to play so I was very happy! I played a solo game of Chain of Command. The basic fluff was the allies have landed in Sicily and after an easy day on the beaches they begin to push inland. The scenario was flank attack with the US 82 nd Airborne attacking and the Italian Aosta Infantry Division defending. With the scenario and force rating differences the Italians had nine support points and the US had four. Operation Mercury #1 - Campaign Introduction and Structure (Chain of Command)

Hi All, As stated in my last post I am hoping to play a Chain of Command campaign with my friend. Please see below for the campaign structure: 1.0 Overview This campaign will be played using the Chain of Command Rules produced by Too Fat Lardies. 1.1 Setting The campaign is set between 20 May 1941 and 1 June 1941. The campaign starts with the German airborne landings and concludes with the allied withdrawal to Egypt.
